Pilates Training on the Reformer

What is Palates?

Pilates, developed by Joseph Pilates over 100 years ago, is a unique method of exercise that engages the mind and body to strengthen "the core" and uniformly develop all muscle group promote flexibility, strength, balance and increase body awareness.

What is "the core"?

"The Core" consists of all the muscles from the shoulders to the hips including the abdominals and back muscles. These muscles are responsible for stabilizing the body. All energy used for Pilates exercises come from the core and flows outward to the extremities creating a strong foundation to work from.

What is an Allegro Reformer?

The reformer is a piece of equipment that was ingeniously designed by Joseph Pilates to lengthen and strengthen the muscles of the body as a whole by using spring resistance. The reformer enables the participant to do just that "reform" and reshape the body.

What are the Benefits of Reformer Training?

Who would benefit from Pilates Training?

Everyone! Pilates training is for all ages and stages of life. Pilates can be customized to the client whether you are and elite matelote or in need of rehabilitation. Pilates training does not cause impact on the joints, therefore is great for aging bodies to enhance flexibility and circulation. It also increases muscle mass and eliminates back pain, slumped shoulders and the abdominal "pooch". Pilates improves performance in all sports including golf, tennis, swimming, skating, skiing, dancing, cycling and running. So whether you are a cheerleader, tri-athlete, gymnast, or participate in team sports such as football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, lacrosse, or any other physical activities, you can expect to achieve tremendous results with Pilates training.

Pilates has become one of the fastest growing and most popular methods of fitness training in the United States and abroad. If you believe like Joseph Pilates that "physical fitness is the prerequisite to happiness", then give yourself the opportunity to experience what Pilates has to offer.

"In 10 sessions you will feel a difference,
In 20 sessions you will see a difference,
In 30 sessions you will have a whole new body."
